At the World Wide IQ Test, your test performance is carefully analyzed and converted into a standardized score that allows for meaningful comparison with a global population of test takers.
⚠️ Please note: The IQ test is designed for adults only. Participants must be at least 18 years old to take the test.
Step 1: Answer Scoring
Once you complete the test, each answer is graded for accuracy. Your total number of correct answers becomes your raw score.
Step 2: Score Standardization
Your raw score is then standardized using a statistical normalization method that aligns your result with a global average:
The average score is set at 100
Most people (around 68%) score between 85 and 115
Scores are plotted on a bell curve (normal distribution) for fairness
This standardization ensures your score accurately reflects your performance compared to others, regardless of age or nationality.
📈 Step 3: Percentile Calculation
Your IQ score is matched with a percentile rank, which shows how your score compares to the rest of the population:
| IQ Score Range | Percentile Range | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| 131 and higher | 99 | Exceptionally High |
| 116 – 130 | 68 – 98 | Above Average |
| 101 – 115 | 51 – 67 | Average to Above Average |
| 100 | 50 | Exact Population Average |
| 85 – 99 | 33 – 49 | Below Average to Average |
| 70 – 84 | 2 – 32 | Low |
| 69 and lower | 1 | Significantly Below Average |
